Neverovatnih 15 poglavlja ove igre bice pravo uzivanje za sladokusce survival horora.The Evil Within je istrazivanje visestrukih ubistava u mentalnoj bolnici Beacon u fikcijskom gradu po imenu Krimson City.Cak bi se moglo reci da je akcenat vise na misteriji,snalazenju i zapletu,nego na horor elementima, iako igra ume da strecne, pogotovo ako se igra nocu sa slusalicama. Iako je dobar deo igre u industrijskom okruzenju enterijer izgleda veoma cudno ali i lepo u isto vreme.Horor klisei su u neku ruku izvrnuti i predstavljeni igracu kroz neuobicajen milje.
