Insomniac Games responded on Twitter to army of the fans that Ratchet & Clank is  not a reboot of the series as many seem to think, but a re-imagining of the first Ratchet and Clank. This re-imagining will also have tie-ins to the upcoming Ratchet and Clank movie, set to arrive in 2015.trailer for the movie:
