Less than a month after announcing their engagement, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have even bigger news—they’re having a baby!
Although the pair didn’t start dating until about two years ago in Spring 2011, they have been close for many years. Kunis, now 30, was just a teen when she and her soon-to-be husband starred on That 70s Show together. Since the show ended almost 8 years ago, both Kunis and Kutcher have become mega-stars.
While this will be the first child for both parties, it will only be Kunis’ first marriage. Kutcher, 36, was married to much older actress Demi Moore, 51, for eight years. The pair, who went through a publicly tumultuous breakup, finalized their divorce just last November.
Many have speculated for a while now that Kunis and Kutcher have been planning to get married and start a family. Sources close to the couple claim that they were just waiting for Kutcher’s divorce from Moore to be finalized so that they could move forward.
It’s not clear how far along Kunis is in the pregnancy, but a source close to the couple told Us Weekly, “This is something they both wanted.” “They are both so happy.”
Another source says that Kutcher is “very happy” over the news of his fiancée’s pregnancy, adding that he is remaining even more private than usual about his personal life. ”Ashton has been very private and cut off more than he usually is,” the insider tells Us Weekly. But, the Two and a Half Men star has been chatting with a longtime pal who is newly-familiar with fatherhood.
“He has been talking about kids with Danny Masterson,” the source reveals. Masterson, who also starred with the couple on That 70s Show, welcomed a baby girl with his wife Bijou Phillips just last month.
Sources speculated that one of Kutcher’s biggest problems with his marriage to Moore was that the couple could never conceive a child. Moore, who already shared three grown children with her second husband Bruce Willis, was rumored to have difficulties getting pregnant with her much younger husband.
A friend of the private couple told OK magazine that, “Ashton and Mila feel like they won the baby lottery.”
Just last Saturday, the happy couple was caught smooching on the kiss cam at a Clippers basketball game in Los Angeles.
