D’awww, look at the wickle baby dinosaur, eating…eating my arm OH GOD NO. Ark: Survival Evolved’s latest update adds tiny toddler dinosaurs like the above, plus the ability to breed dinos together. You’ll be able to selectively breed better, faster, stronger, killier dinosaurs by doing this, which will be good news for us humans, I reckon. Wadjet Eye has a knack for producing solid point-and-click adventure games: the Blackwellgames, Primordia, A Golden Wake, and many more. So even though there must be a million post-apocalyptic video games nowadays, I trust that they can put a new spin on it. Continue reading SHARDLIGHT

The Flame in the Flood
Survival games and Early Access go together like unfinished titles with an unsatisfying endgame and…Early Access, so it’s no surprise to see another one making a beeline for Steam’s pEarly gates. The Flame in the Flood is stylish, attractive, and features a dog sidekick, making it automatically more interesting than 99% of video games. The Molasses Flood’s game has been available (in unfinished form) to Kickstarter backers for a little while now, and soon it will be out for the rest of us via Steam Early Access. ARMIKROG
“Armikrog arrives in August,” we—well, I—told you in June. And I did so in good faith and with the best of intentions! I have recently been informed, however, that this is not actually going to happen. Instead, the game will be out on September 8.Based on characters created by Doug TenNapel, the game follows the adventures of a space explorer named Tommynaut and his blind alien talking dog named Beak-Beak as they crash land on a weird planet and end up locked in a mysterious fortress called Armikrog.
